At the end of February the project “Lacandón – Forests for Life” got the possibility to make an overflight over the Sierra del Lacandón national park. These flights are conducted on a regular basis and serve the monitoring and controlling of the park. It was possible to get a good overview of the state of the forest cover and the location of the communities that live in the project area.
